Oldest Café on the Shore housed in a very old tower building (over 170 years old) in Edinburgh specializing in traditional all-day breakfast, brunch, & lunch.
The cafe is located overlooking the beautiful water of Leith within 0.5 miles of world famous Royal Yacht Britannia.
built by himself.
Then along came Jharna Adwani somewhere in the middle of 2018 , an Indian woman who joined as a part-time Barista first and then quickly became the right-hand (business partner) of Terry Moore. Having had a formal education in Entrepreneurship from Royal Holloway University of London mixed with a few years of experience in the Food and Beverage industry, she brought in some newer technological advances into the café. Trying out new things, new ideas whilst taking care not to rock the boat was then part of everyday life.
Our café has seen it’s ups and downs just like any other business, but what matters the most is that it has stood strong through every hiccup. Even Covid-19 did not discourage us to provide essential hot food service to our regular customers. Terry himself delivered food through these times so that our regular customers did not have to eat cold sandwiches off the shelves from the supermarket, or should we say, so that they did not have to rely on pasta only ;-)
Hard work goes synonymous with his name Terry Moore. Passion and execution defines Jharna Adwani. While the energies of two entrepreneurs are synergized to run this business and other small sides, you are promised with new offering every few weeks.
If you have not visited us yet, do pop by to say hello :) We would love to welcome you and give you a good experience in our café.
